2011 is the year of the new bingo sites, and I am sure before the year is out we will see even more. The latest bingo brand to launch is the suggestively named Bingo Flirt.
Bingo Flirt is a new member to the Dragonfish network, which means the bingo rooms will be shared with a number of sites, resulting in big jackpots from the start despite it being a new site.
The Bingo Flirt site name is suggestive of dating, and ‘flirting’ with the opposite sex, but there doesn’t appear to be anything of this kind on the site itself. The word ‘flirt’ in the promotional copy is used as a replacement for the word ‘gift’.
If you look at the ‘How To Flirt’ guide on the site, it all seems terribly simple.
It all sounds simple enough, you win bingo and you and a friend receive the same prize.
These “flirt games” are not on every game of bingo, so make sure you understand this point as it isn’t entirely clear if you fail to read the full terms and conditions.
There are currently three “flirt games” per day, running at 9.00pm, 10.00pm & 11.00pm in the Chatterbox room. This is in addition to large guaranteed jackpots.
Each week there is a different ‘Flirt Prize’ such as an Amazon Kindle to be won in addition to the cash jackpot. If you win, you can flirt (gift) your prize to a friend, so in a sense you win two prizes instead of one, and get the good feeling of gifting your spare prize to someone special.
I really like the idea of gifting a prize to someone else. It is common knowledge that people get enjoyment from giving things to others, so for a bingo site to pick up on this social need and offering something a bit different is to be applauded.
It’s still only a new site, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on Bingo Flirt to see how it evolves. I hope they change their mascots though as in my personal opinion they truly are hideous to look at, ugh. They look like one of those government health campaign posters you get in health clinics to warn people of the dangers of heart disease! LOL
I’m sure that they’ll appeal to many players, I guess I am just a bit particular when it comes to online bingo mascots. Let’s just say this one isn’t going on my Top 10 Bingo Mascots list just yet.
